Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Community Service Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing essential support and assistance to individuals and families in need within our community. Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs and strengths of clients.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans to address client goals and objectives.
- Provide advocacy and support to clients in accessing community resources and services.
- Deliver counseling and guidance to individuals and families facing various challenges.
- Facilitate group sessions and workshops on topics such as life skills, employment readiness, and financial literacy.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in community service or social work is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to empathize and connect with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation.
- Familiarity with local social service resources and networks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
